The discharging of bulk solids from silos or containers requires improving the product's flow characteristics.
Many bulk solids do not discharge freely through the generally feasible, expedient filling/discharge cross sections.
Flow is achieved by the application of force to loosen up settled grains/particles/fibres.
Depending on product characteristics, operating conditions and the type of task, vibration, fluidisation / ventilation, or mechanical agitation / mechanical tumbling is selected as a suitable method for discharging.
